Throughout our lives, challenges and loss will most likely be an unavoidable part of our journey. Have you noticed how you tend to respond during trialing times? Maybe you are calm and realistic; or do you view yourself as a victim, becoming increasingly more overwhelmed? Every individual will respond differently to developments that occur in their lives. According to the American Psychological Association (2017) building resilience is “the process of adapting well in the face of adversity, trauma, tragedy, threats or significant sources of stress…It means ‘bouncing back’ from difficult experiences”. What adaptive strategies have you discovered to create positive outcomes from difficult circumstances along your journey?
